Even though he only managed to put up just 19 points in 61 games, Bussieres possesses great skills that should help him take that next step in 2014-15. He has outstanding hands and vision, making him a big threat when the team is rushing up ice.
Beyond the great offensive skills, Bussieres has tried to become a solid two-way player as he has spent more time lately working on his defensive game. If he can continue to progress, he should be a mainstay in the Iowa top six this upcoming season.

After a rough first season in the AHL, Raphael Bussieres should be a player to watch in Iowa this season.
Even though he only managed to put up just 19 points in 61 games, Bussieres possesses great skills that should help him take that next step in 2014-15. He has outstanding hands and vision, making him a big threat when the team is rushing up ice.
Realistically, Bussieres will be spending the entire season in Iowa. He still has a ways to go before getting the call to the NHL team (he is only 20 years old, so he has plenty of time to grow still). Even though he had a down season last year, he still should be one to keep a close eye on for Iowa in 2014-15.
