Photo: Brad Rempel-USA Today
In last night's preseason game, it was the Wild edging the Jets 4-3 thanks to a late Jared Spurgeon goal. Here are some thoughts from last night's game:

Top 10 Prospects: #3 Erik Haula

Erik Haula
Center
Shoots: Left
Height: 5'11". Weight: 192 lbs
Born: March 23, 1991
2013-14 Team: Iowa Wild (AHL), Minnesota Wild (NHL)
Acquired: 7th round pick (182nd overall) in 2009 NHL Entry Draft
Previous Rank: 6

"Haula does not seem like a fit to make the Wild roster this year". Those were the words written about Erik Haula on this site last year. Not only did he get a call-up to the Wild roster, he was one of their most important players down the stretch and in the postseason (this is the part where I eat my words from last year).

Who's Faster: Chris Kreider or Erik Haula

If there has been one player who has stuck out from the Montreal-New York Eastern Conference Final series, its been Chris Kreider of the Rangers.

Wild made a third period rally to tie the game at two last night. But then Chicago turned on the jets, and dusted Minnesota 5-2 in Game One. Lets break out some three on three.

Nope, this is not a post where I complain about the 30 missed calls in last night's Stars-Wild game. This is also not a post where I complain about the fiasco in Vancouver last night. Those are posts for a different day.

3 on 3: The Upcoming Road Trip

Photo: Joe Sargent/NHLI
After narrowly defeating the Canucks 3-2 last night, the Wild are back out on the road for four games that stretches from tomorrow through the 27th (they come home for Christmas though). Had the Wild had a trip like this two years ago, we would be saying our prayers right about now as they would be playing three elite teams (Pittsburgh, New York Rangers, and Philadelphia) heading into the Christmas break.

Haula At Your Boys!

Erik Haula has returned and should be back for a while. Photo: Jason Mowry/Icon SMI
Wednesday, we sent a telegram to Jason Zucker. Clearly, he did not get that telegram.

Today the team announced that they are sending Zucker back to Iowa and have recalled Erik Haula. This move was an exact swap of what they did on Monday/Tuesday when Haula was sent down and Zucker was recalled.
