Mario went to Wayzata H.S. and was a highly touted college recruit. But instead of going to Minnesota like his brother did, he chose to play for the University of Notre Dame following a season playing for Penticton in the BCHL.

Wild fans may not know much about the #10 ranked prospect Gustav Olofsson, but they know plenty about Mario Lucia.

After averaging nearly two points per game with Wayzata and Penticton, Lucia played for the Irish last season putting up 23 points (12 goals, 11 assists) in 32 games. He is a highly skilled playmaking forward who can often create plays resulting in a goal for his team. He was a big part of the Irish power play last year, and should be an anchor for them again in 2013-14.
He is not that big (only 183 lbs) and still has work to do defensively, but look for him to be a huge contributor to Notre Dame as they move to the Big East Conference this season.
