The 2014 Minnesota Wild Olympians

Photo: Heston Kan
As much as Team Canada tried to delay the process this morning, all Winter Olympic hockey rosters have now been announced. The final four teams (Finland, Sweden, Slovakia, and Canada) gave out their rosters to the public, leaving everyone with more questions (as to why player 'x' made the team over player 'y') than answers, seemingly.

So now that all rosters have been released, here are the five Minnesota Wild players who are heading to Sochi:

Mikael Granlund-Finland

Mikko Koivu-Finland

Nino Niederreiter-Switzerland

Zach Parise-United States

Ryan Suter-United States

Jonas Brodin was the odd man out for Sweden. It appears he will be an alternate, in the event someone gets hurt, but still surprising to see him left off the roster.

For those wondering why Jason Pominville and Josh Harding are not playing for their respective teams, the answer is simple: they were never close to making the teams. They are having great seasons, but overall bodies of work was what held them back here.

Besides, would you really want to have Josh Harding playing in the Olympics instead of resting up for the stretch drive?
