With their second sixth round pick, the Wild drafted Chase Lang, a right winger from the Calgary Hitmen of the WHL.
This past season in Calgary, Lang scored 25 points (third worst on Calgary) in 68 games, and added 52 penalty minutes. Lang is likely to return to the Hitmen for the 2014-15 season.
While Lang's stats don't fly off the page, he fits the bill of what Minnesota is looking for when drafting someone. Strong two way player, good hands, good size, and good skater. He should be getting more ice time with Calgary next year, so his stats should see a nice boost.
