With their final pick in the 2014 NHL Entry Draft, the Minnesota Wild used their seventh round pick to select center Pavel Jenys from the Czech Republic.

Jenys played last season for HC Kometa Brno, mainly with their U-20 team. He was called up later on to the 'A' team, where he spent the rest of the season. Jenys will be back with HC Kometa Brno for 2014-15.

Unlike the previous Wild draftees in 2014, Jenys is more of an offensive player. He has a shoot first mentality, and can shoot quite well. Defensively, he is not all that skilled there and Minnesota will obviously hope to see him work on that aspect of his game more often.

Welcome to the Team of 18,001 Pavel Jenys!
